This quote means that whether or not you acknowledge facts, they are still true. Ignoring a fact does not change the fact itself. For example, if you ignore the fact that the sun rises in the east, this does not change the fact that it does. The sun still rises in the east even if you ignore it. Therefore, ignoring facts does not make them any less true.
