It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.

The Meaning of This Quote

This quote is saying that although time passes, the pain from traumatic events does not go away. Over time, our minds create a “scar tissue” which is a mental barrier that helps us cope with the pain, but it doesn’t fully erase the hurt. The pain may lessen overtime, but it is never truly gone.
