1. The right to not read: readers should be able to choose not to read, if they want.
2. The right to skip pages: readers should be able to skip over pages they don’t want to read.
3. The right to not finish: readers should be able to stop reading something if they choose.
4. The right to reread: readers should be able to reread something if they want to.
5. The right to read anything: readers should be able to choose whatever type of material they want to read.
6. The right to escapism: readers should be able to use reading as a way to escape from reality if they want.
7. The right to read anywhere: readers should be able to read wherever they want.
8. The right to browse: readers should be able to freely browse through different materials.
9. The right to read out loud: readers should be able to read aloud if they want.
10. The right to not defend your tastes: readers should not be judged for the types of material they choose to read.
